  3. The gene pool of a population alters by the genetic flow.

Genetic drift:

  1. The alteration in the allele frequency over a generation is called genetic drift.
  2. Genetic drift causes include immigration or emigration of species in a population.
  3. The new population created by genetic drift may be genetically distinct from the original population.
