Open in App
Solution

  • A solid is that state of matter which has definite shape and definite volume.
  • Diffusion is the intermixing of the particles by their random motion.
  • Solids do not diffuse in one another because the kinetic energy of the particles in solid is least and the force of attraction between particles is maximum.
  • The molecules of solid can just vibrate at their mean position but cannot migrate from one position to another.
