Solid, Why do solids do not diffuse in one another?

Solution
A solid is that state of matter which has definite shape and definite volume.
Diffusion is the intermixing of the particles by their random motion.
Solids do not diffuse in one another because the kinetic energy of the particles in solid is least and the force of attraction between particles is maximum.
The molecules of solid can just vibrate at their mean position but cannot migrate from one position to another.
