Tyndall effect:

  • It is defined as the scattering of light by colloidal particles.
  • The path of the light beam becomes visible through the colloidal solution when a strong beam of light is passed through a colloid kept in the darkroom.
  • For example, The sky is blue in color due to the scattering of the blue color of the sun's light by colloidal particles, i.e., due to the Tyndall effect.
