1. Transpiration is the evaporation of water from the aerial parts of the plants like leaves while their stomata are open for the passage of CO₂ and O₂ during photosynthesis.
2. Stomata are the small pores on the leaves through which respiration occurs.
3. It also occurs through the lenticels and cuticle.
