Question

Define uniform circular motion. A particle is travelling in a circle of diameter 15m . Calculate the distance covered and the displacement when it completes two rounds.

Open in App
Solution

If a particle is moving with constant speed on a circular path then it is said to have uniform circular motion.

Distance covered in two rounds is,

s=2×2πr

=4×3.14×7.5

=94.2m

Total displacement after two rounds will be zero because particle comes at the same initial point.
