Solution- Homogeneous mixture of two or more substances is known as a solution. The proportion of the constituents of the solution can be different.

Unsaturated solution- A solution that contains less amount of solute than the saturated solution at a given temperature is known as an unsaturated solution.

• In this solution the solvent has the capacity of dissolving more amount of solute at a particular temperature.
• Example - $$\begin{gathered} \mathrm{sugar}+\mathrm{water}\to \mathrm{sugar}\mathrm{solution} \\ \mathrm{solute}\mathrm{solvent}\mathrm{solution} \end{gathered}$$
• Sugar is a solute and water is a solvent that makes a sugar solution.
• In this solution, more sugar can dissolve in water which is called an unsaturated solution.
