  2. A body is said to exhibit vibratory motion if a part of the body moves back and forth about its mean position.
  3. The movement of strings in musical instruments like guitar or sitar is an example of vibratory motion as only a part of the instrument moves to and fro and not the whole instrument.
  4. Other examples are the movement of the surface of drums and tabla when played. Vibration produces sound.
