  2. Also, work is the product of force and displacement in the direction of the applied force.
  3. Thus, W=Fscosθ where W is work done, F is force, s is displacement, θ is the angle between them.

Units of work:

  1. SI unit of work is Joule J.
  2. CGS unit of work is erg.

Relationship between SI and CGS units of work:

  1. One joule is equal to 107erg.
  2. Thus, 1J=107erg.
