Solution

Dear student,

Chemical industries include both organic and inorganic sectors.

Organic chemical industries are those which use petrochemicals as raw materials for making of synthetic fibres, synthetic rubber, plastics, dye-stuffs, drugs and pharmaceuticals. They are located in areas closer to oil refineries or petrochemical plants where there is easy access to raw materials. As these raw materials cannot be transported over long distances and requires quick use.

Inorganic chemical industries are those which use sulphuric acid, nitric acid, alkalies, soda ash and caustic soda etc. as raw materials. These industries are widely spread through out the country as the raw materials can be easily transported and delivered across the country.

Regards.
