The given reaction is :-

Given, Density of diamond =3.5g/mL
density of graphite =2.3g/mL

density of diamond > density of graphite

As the pressure is increased on the system at equilibrium then by Le Chatelier's principle, the reaction will shift towards the formation of a denser product. So, the backward reaction is favoured.
