Kidney stones are deposition of insoluble salt crystals inside the kidney. The other term for kidney stones is renal calculi. Stones in the kidney can cause severe abdominal pain, fever, blood in urine, vomiting, backache etc. Most people undergo surgery to remove kidney stones.
