According to integrated law of rate:-

k=2.303tlog10[A]o[A]t

where [A]o is at t=0

the concentration of reactant falls to [Ao]/2 at t1/2

t=t1/2

[A]t=Ao/2

Equation for first order can be written as:-

k=2.303t1/2log10[A]o[A]o2

k=2.303t1/2log102=0.693t1/2

t1/2=0.693k.
