Solution

Agranulocytes are a type of white blood cells (WBCs) or leukocytes that do not have cytoplasmic granules. Agranulocytes are of two types: Lymphocytes and Monocytes.
Lymphocytes are small cells with round nuclei and little cytoplasm. Lymphocytes are of two types-
1. B lymphocytes: These produce antibodies that combine with antigens and target the pathogens for destruction.
2. T lymphocytes: These directly destroy the cells that have antigens.
Monocytes are the mononuclear phagocytic leukocytes which are transported by the blood to various tissues where they differentiate into macrophages. Macrophages are phagocytic cells.
