Describe an activity to show that air contains water vapours.

  • Take some ice in a glass tumbler, in some time you will notice water droplets on the outer surface of the tumbler that is because of condensation.
  • This is due to the reason that water vapors present in the air come in contact with the cold surface of the glass, lose their energy and they get condense to form tiny drops of liquid water.
  • Thus, the formation of droplets of water on the outer surface of a glass tumbler containing crushed ice shows the presence of water vapors present in the air.
