1. Take a completely filled glass of water and add a spoon full of sugar, stir it well.
2. The volume of water in glass remains the same.
3. The sugar molecules took the spaces between the molecules of water and so, the level of water in glass remains the same.
4. This shows that there are inter-molecular spaces between the water molecules.
