Describe an experiment to show that air expands on heating.

Experimental set up:
Procedure:
Take a glass flask and close its mouth with a cork having a capillary tube containing indicator visible in the tube.
Keep it airtight.
Now place the flask in hot water.
Observation:
We will observe that the indicator in the tube will go up.
This happens because air inside the flask expands with rise in temperature.
This shows that air expands on heating.
