Solution
The deficiency of iron in the diet leads to the disease called anaemia. It occurs because iron is required to make a protein called haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is responsible for oxygen transport around the body. Inefficient oxygen delivery results in the symptoms and signs associated with anaemia are pale skin, brittle nails, feels very weak, loses weight, irregular or fast heartbeat, and shortness of breath.
