Describe any five features of the Ghats of the Deccan plateau.

Features of Deccan Plateau:
1. It is triangular in shape. It is primarily made of Igneous rocks
2. It slopes east wards.
3. Either side has hills and mountains known as the western and the eastern ghats.
4. Western Ghats is discontinuous in nature
5. Western ghats has more number of deltas due to many rivers.
6. The central region resembles that of steps. This part is called Deccan Trap.
