Describe any three features of Indian federalism?

The three features of federalism are as follows:-

1. In federalism there are two or more levels of government.
2. Different tiers of government govern the same citizens but each tier has its own jurisdiction in matters like legislation, taxation and administration.
3. The jurisdictions of the respective tiers are mentioned in the constitution.
4. The federal system has thus two main objectives- to safeguard and promote unity of the country while accomodating regional diversity at the same time.
