Asexual reproduction:

The type of reproduction that does not involve the fusion of gametes is called asexual reproduction. Only one parent is involved in this type of reproduction.

  1. Amoeba: Amoeba reproduce via binary fission. The parental cell divides into two daughter cells.
  2. Plasmodium: Plasmodium reproduces by multiple fission. The parental cell divides into several daughter cells and develops a cyst wall around the cell. It breaks during favorable conditions and grows individually.
  3. Hydra: Hydra reproduces via budding. A small bulb-like outgrowth called bud develops on a parental body and detaches when it attains maturity and grows individually.
