Describe budding in Yeast.

Yeast

  1. Yeast is unicellular fungi.
  2. During the process of budding in yeast the parent cell develops a small protuberance which grows in size.
  3. This is called bud.
  4. The parent nucleus divides and one of the two daughter nuclei goes into the bud.
  5. Finally the bud gets detached and grows into new individual.
