Solution
Cuboidal epithelium: Cells are cube-shaped. The tissue provides mechanical strength. It forms the lining of the kidney tubules and ducts of the salivary glands.
Columnar epithelium: The cells are tall and column-like. This type of tissue facilitates movement across the epithelial barrier. It is found in the lining of the intestine.
Ciliated epithelium: The cells are long and thin, like columnar cells, and have cilia. These cilia facilitate movement. This type of tissue can be seen in the lining of the respiratory tract.
