Solution
Dung and other organic wastes are converted into a slurry with 90% water. It is passed on to digester. Facultative anaerobic decomposers change the complex organic substances into simpler ones called monomers. The monomers undergo acidification with the help of fermenting microbes. The various products are changed into methane by methanogens. The biogas thus formed collects in floating gas holder for supply. Spent slurry is collected as sludge for use as manure.
