Coal: Coal is one of the essential fossil fuels present in the environment, and the deposits of coal are formed from buried big plants/trees millions of years ago. These big plants and trees went through an anaerobic thermal degradation process and converted the wood present inside the Earth into coal.

Answer: The two varieties of coal found in India are Anthracite and Bituminous coal.
