Describe how plan detect the structure of torch and write how leaves produce movements as a response to it ?

1. Light is very important for plants,as photosynthesis is not feasible in the absence of light.
2. When a plant is placed in a dark box,fitted with a torch,its leaves start growing towards the torch light and ultimately the whole plant shifts towards the torch. This phenomenon of moving of plants towards light is phototropism.
3. This happens due to the presence of light sensitive cells on the surface of the leaves,which detect the presence of light in the box,and guide the plant to move in that direction.
