A. Isotonic contractions: The type of skeletal muscle contraction in which the length of the muscle changes without increasing tension is called isotonic contraction. Example: Lifting weights, push-ups, pull-ups.
B. Isometric contractions: The type of skeletal muscle contractions in which the length of the muscle remains constant but the pressure is increased.Example: Pushing against the wall.
