Question

Describe mean, median and mode of an observation briefly.

Open in App
Solution

Mean, median, and mode are three kinds of "averages".

Mean: It is the sum of all observations divided by the total number of observations.

Median: It is the "middle" value in the list of observations. To find the median, your observations have to be arranged in ascending or descending order.

Mode: It is the value of observation that occurs most often. If no observation is repeated, then there is no mode for the list.
