Describe the biological components of an ecosystem.

Ecosystem:-

The interaction between living and non-living factors is called the ecosystem.

Biological component:-

1. The living organism of the ecosystem is called a biological component like bacteria, animals, Fungi, plants, etc.
2. Regarding the mode of obtaining food, the organisms occurring in an ecosystem are classified into three main categories:

1. Producers
2. Consumers
3. Decomposers (reducers).

(A) Producers:- The living organism which can make its own food by the process of photosynthesis is called a producer. Ex-All green plants.

(B) Consumers:- The organism which is unable to synthesize its own food, directly or indirectly depending on another organism for food is called a consumer. Ex-Frog, Snake Human, etc.

(C) Decomposers (reducers):- The organism obtained its food from waste organic matter of death and decaying material. Ex- Bacteria and fungi etc.
