Open in App
Solution

Instructions:
Mention the division of the society based on the caste and the roles of the people from each caste.

Solution:
In the early medieval period, the caste system was very rigid. The whole society was divided into four castes. These were – Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras.
Brahahmins performed religious ceremonies, so they had a place of respect in the society. Kshtriyas became warriors and administrators and participated in wars. Vaishyas traded and did agricultural tasks but the condition of Shudras in society was the worst.
