India became Independent on 15th August 1947 from the rule of the British Raj nearly after two centuries. The Constitution served as the framework to fulfill multiple goals while making democracy work by unifying and creating a single political community to bring substantial social and economic changes.

The challenges were:

• Maintaining unity and integrity among the masses.
• Social and economic change
• Successful implementation of the democratic system

These challenges were interrelated, and the aim was to maintain the balance among each other.
