Circumstances responsible for the formation of G-77:
1. Many of the developing countries were not getting benefit from fast economic growth of western countries.
2. In order to catch up with development of western countries, the industrial developing nations organised themselves into a group called G-77.
3. It laid stress on equitable distribution of wealth between developed and developing nations and fair and just price for the raw materials for all countries.
