Radiation is the means of transferring heat in which no medium is required.
All objects radiate heat and the amount of heat transferred depends on the following factors: (a) The colour and texture of the surface- Dark surfaces absorb and radiate more heat than light surfaces. (b) Surface area- If we compare two objects with the different surface areas then objects with more surface area radiate more heat. (c) Surface temperature- Higher the temperature of the surface, the greater will be the radiation emitted by it.
