Solution

The foreign policy of Hitler was based on the idea of expanding German territory. With this objective, he

1. Disregarded the Treaty of Versailles under which Germany had been forced to give up territory to other European countries. Hitler intended to regain those territories.
2. Hitler withdrew Germany from the League of Nations. This way, he would be able to disregard the League's restrictions on launching attacks on neighbouring countries.
3. From then on, Hitler followed and expansionist and imperialist foreign policy through which he made repeated demands for territory from neighbouring countries like Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland.
4. He formed the tripartite pact with Japan and Italy in order to make an alliance in the event of war.
