Open in App
Solution

In a pitcher plant, the lamina of the leaf is modified into a pitcher-shaped structure and the apex of the leaf forms a lid-like structure.

When an insect sits on the rim of the pitcher, the lid closes. The digestive enzymes present in the pitcher, then digests the insect and obtains nutrition from it.
