During Maratheshahi, agriculture was the primary occupation and many other occupations were based on agriculture.
The Patil used to ensure the safety and security of the village, and the Kulkarni used to manage the revenue of the village.
During this time, the Balutedar system was present and there were twelve balutedars who used to work for the villagers.
The occupations that were practised in the village were categorised into two main types: Kali and Pandhari.
Kali were the occupations where peasants used to work in the field and pandhari were the occupations wherein the population worked inside the premises of the village.
