Solution

Outbreeding defines the process in which the mating of the animals is performed which belongs to the different breed. This technique helps in preventing self-pollination and inbreeding depression. The devices which are used to prevent autogamy are:
  • The male and the female reproductive organs in the flower do not get matured at the same time (protandry and protogyny).
  • The male and the female flowers are present on the different plants (monoecious).
  • The stigma of the female flower does not recognise the pollen from the anther of the flower on same plant (self-incompatibility)
