Describe the Parallax method to find out how far a star is?
Parallax is a displacement or difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight, and is measured by the angle or semi-angle of inclination between those two lines.
Astronomers use the principle of parallax to measure distances to the closer stars.
Astronomers can measure a star's position once, and then again 6 months later and calculate the apparent change in position. The star's apparent motion is called stellarparallax. The distance ‘d’ is measured in parsecs and the parallax angle ‘p’ is measured in arcseconds.
