Describe the process of making soap in brief.

1. Dissolve a small amount of an alkali like sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide in water.
2. Mix the solution in the oil slowly while stirring it.
3. Heat the mixture, and boil it for 10-12 minutes, stirring it all the while. Take care that the mixture does not boil over while heating.
4. The soap formed by the chemical reaction now floats on top. After some time, it becomes thick.
5. Separate the thick soap and add fragrance to it.
6. Add the thick mixture to a mould of the desired shape and allow it to solidify.
