Protostele:

  1. Protostele is a non-medullated stele that comprises a central core of the xylem surrounded by a cluster of phloem.
  2. There is a multiple of a single layer of pericycle towards the exterior of the phloem which is externally delimited by a sheath of endodermis continuous in nature.
  3. Types of protostele can be haplostele, plectostele, actinostele and mixed protostele.
