In ,India the proportion of women in legislature is very low .The percentage of elected women member in Lok sabha is less then 10percent.It has never reached even 10percent of its total strength.
In the state assemblies ,women representation is less than 5percent.
In the Government,cabinets are largely all male even when a woman becomes the chief minister or the prime minister.
