Describe the setup of a Leclanche cell.

A Leclanche cell consists of a glass vessel which is filled with ammonium chloride solution. Ammonium chloride solution acts as an electrolyte. In it, there stands a zinc rod and porous pot containing a carbon rod, which is packed around with a mixture of manganese dioxide and powdered carbon. The carbon and zinc rods act as positive and negative electrodes respectively.
