Solution

Instructions:
  • Explain in detail about the evolution of earth.
Solution:
Most scientists are of the view that, the evolution of the Earth originated about 4 and a half billion years ago.
  • Initially there was only a cloud of swirling dust and gas.
  • This giant gas cloud slowly cooled down. Under the influence of gravity these clouds slowly began to form into tiny rocks.
  • These rocks collected mass slowly growing in size to form planets like Earth.
  • At that time the Earth was very hot and was in a molten stage and was constantly bombarded by massive rocks and other materials from space and thus the size of the Earth grew.
The Earth was so hot that it was molten with many different substances. The heavier substances sank while the lighter substances rose up to the surface.
The heavier substances formed the
part of the molten core, lighter substances rose to the surface and cooled forming the crust.
So then the atmosphere of the Earth consisted of different kinds of gasses including water vapor and carbon dioxide and didn’t have oxygen. It took a long time for the air we breathe to develop.
The rain filled the great basins on the Earth's crust with water. Thus, the oceans were formed. Then life appeared in the oceans. It slowly evolved into diverse plants and animals including human beings over millions of years.
