Solution
Style of Maize:
It is a long filamentous thread present at the end of a young cob of maize.
The female inflorescence is borne on the modified lateral branches present in the axils of leaves.
The male inflorescence takes the terminal position on the main axis.
Short internodes are present on the ear which produce branches that have female spikes at their apex.
Styles of female florets are feathery and emerge from the cob. They are long and get pollinated by wind.
