  5. Knitted materials are used to make socks and a variety of other apparel items.

Two main processes of making fabric from yarn:

Knitting

  2. Knitting is used to make a variety of materials, including T-shirts, sweaters, jackets, and shawls.
  3. Knitted fabrics are quite popular, and they may be made easily from yarn or other fibers like cotton, nylon, woolen, and polyester.
  4. Knitting techniques come in a variety of forms, including computerized and machine-based knitting.

Weaving

  2. It is primarily utilized in the production of woven fabrics.
  3. Weaving is used to create all trouser styles.
  4. The yarn is woven using two methods:
  • Lengthwise weaving: This way of weaving weaves the yarn up and down or lengthwise or longitudinal in the body of clothing and the warp is another name for it.
  • Crosswise Weaving: The yarn is weaved across the body of the garment in this type of weaving and the weft or filling of threads is another name for it.
