Describe the types of the root systems in plants.
The root system of a plant constantly provides the stems and leaves with water and dissolved minerals.
There are two types of root systems in plants.
Taproot system – Present in dicotyledonous plants. E.g. mango, tamarind, banyan, etc.
Fibrous root system – Present in monocotyledonous plants. E.g. maize, wheat, grass, etc.
