Urinary system:-
The group of organs that make urine and remove it from the body is called the urinary system.
The components of the urinary system of a man:-
The urinary system of human beings consists of the following main organs: Two kidneys, two ureters, Bladder and Urethra.
(A) Kidney:-
The kidneys are reddish-brown colored and bean-shaped structures present in the upper part of the abdomen along the dorsal body wall, one on either side of the vertebral column.
Each kidney contains a large numbered of coiled tubes called a nephron.
The kidneys remove the poisonous substance urea, other waste salts, and excess water from the blood excreted by the kidney in a yellowish liquid called urine.
Kidney filtered blood and removed unwanted substances present in it.
(B) Ureters:-
Theureters are a pair of long, narrow, thin-walled, and tubular structures which start from the kidney, run down, and open in the urinary bladder.
The ureters conduct the urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder.
(C ) Urinary bladder:-
Theurinary bladder is a thin-walled, elastic, pear-shaped, and distensible sac present in the lower part of the abdomen.
The urinary bladder stores the urine until the increase in pressure and urges for expelling.
(D) Urethra:-
The urethra is a muscular and tubular structure that extends from the urinary bladder to the outside.
The urethra carries the urine to the outside.
Adrenal gland:-
Adrenal gland releases the hormone aldosterone that sends signals to the kidneys to absorb more sodium into the bloodstream and release potassium into the urine.
