As a part of its foreign policy India tries to improve ties with immediate neighbours. India supports its neighbours in the form of resources, equipment and training.​

Act East Policy:​

Myanmar is a bridge to the countries of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).​

The main purpose is to establish a multipolar balance of power in the Indo-Pacific and become an integral part of Asia.
