There are three germ layers in vertebrates, they are :
  1. Ectoderm-It is the outer layer leads in to formation of epidermis of skin, epithelial lining of mouth and rectum, nervous system.
  2. Mesoderm- It is the middle layer leading to form muscular system, skeleton, circulatory system, excretory system and reproductive system.
  3. Endoderm- It is the inner layer. It leads to orm epithelial lining of digestive tract and respiratory tract and of urinary bladder.
