1. Potassium(K)
Function
  • It is required as a cofactor for different enzymes.
  • Essential for permeability, stomatal movement and for translocation.
Deficiency symptoms:
  • rosette or bushy habit due to reduced apical bud growth.
  • decreased resistance to diseases
2. Iron (Fe)
Function
  • Essential for chlorophyll synthesis.
  • Helps in energy generation.
Deficiency symptoms
  • Chlorosis first in young leaves
  • Inhibition of chloroplast formation
3. Zinc (Zn)
Function
  • Constituents of carbonic anhydrase and auxin
Deficiency symptoms
  • Mottled leaves
  • Decreases auxin content and cause little leaf disease.
