Open in App
Solution

Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction in which only one parent is involved. There are basically 5 types of asexual reproduction. These are binary fission, budding, vegetative reproduction, fragmentation and by spores. During fission, the cellular contents are replicated internally and then are divided into two daughter cells. This is seen in bacteria. Plants reproduce asexually by vegetative propagation. In this, part of plant such as bulb, tuber, rhizome develops into a new plant. Budding is seen in yeast. In this, new organism develops from a bud at a particular site. In fragmentation, an organism physically splits and develops into new organisms from each segment. It is seen in segmented worms. Spores are produced by bacteria, fungi, algae, plants. This spore later develops into new organism.
